Yogiraj is a title of Lord Shiva meaning "King of Yoga." It is also an honorific often given to an advanced yogi, especially a teacher[1] of yoga.
See Yogiraj Sri Swami Satchidananda and Swami Satchidananda, a world-guru who received this title from his guru, Master of Yoga Sri Swami Sivananda Saraswati Maharaj, after arduous training, practice, and service in discipleship and to humanity. This title of Yogiraj is given by one's guru in lineages of established training.
